Robert & Klara Swiderski
We are husband and wife, artists, photographers.
Photography is our way of life, not a job. Photography is the passion that turns each day into an adventure; it's a lifestyle full of creativity and rewards. Did we mention hard work?
For us, photography does not break down into categories, like advertising, wedding, or fine art. There is only one category, and that is great photography.
Our Blog
For quite some time we have contemplated the idea of a blog.
Our past and present clients had asked for one, fellow photographers and friends, did as well. Each group had a different interest in what they would like to read about. We, on the other hand, weren't convinced that we could effectively convey our thoughts and commit them to paper (be it even the virtual kind). Or make it worthwhile, for those interested enough as to invest their precious time. Or even be a spatter in the world of blogging and twittering every single minute of one's day.
But, after a while, we realized that often communicating the insights of our creative life becomes increasingly important.
As for our clients; the deeper your understanding of what we do, the more meaningful the photos we together create. Great wedding photos, or any photos for that matter, are a collaboration. Consciously or subconsciously - we always channel who you are into your photos. This is how a great photo will come into existence. The thoughts we will be sharing here are designed with that purpose in mind.
As to photographers; those we know and those we don't know, but who have dropped a note from time to time about something inspiring they saw on our website - sharing is an outlet that let's us contribute. Creativity is a lifelong endeavor, we are happy to be a part of it.
As to friends; as our work has been compounding in the recent past, we had less and less time for those we care about. To the point that now we decided to limit the amount of work we take on. Time is unforgiving. It passes whether we choose to take part in life or not. So here, we would like to share some of the things that "make up" our life, because if one is an artist, one never really has a day off. To become a good artist, one must live, sleep and breath this inseparable part of oneself. Hence, things that are normally a part of the "time off" (for most people) had to become an integral part of "work" for us. We feel this is significant and has a great effect on the art we produce.
